Introduction to R&W for Google Chrome
In this session, attendees will learn how Read&Write for Google Chrome gives students (and educators) a wide variety of literacy supports. Text based resources are often the biggest barrier to effective student learning, not only with new language learners, but also with many students who struggle with reading comprehension and writing. R&W4GC helps students with diverse needs have better access to resources through the use of speech to text and text to speech tools, but all students can benefit from these supports and additional tools such as voice notes, visual and talking dictionaries, PDF tools, highlighting tools and more to create personalized learning experiences. This powerful GAFE extension is built into the address bar within Chrome and can be used while viewing webpages or within Google Docs.
