Daylene Lauman is currently serving in the role of Online Learning Advisor with Alberta Education in Canada. In this role, she is responsible for the development of policy and and guidelines for 1-12 online learning in Alberta. Daylene leads practices and future directions for applying current research and Alberta-based promising practices to online learning within the provincial education system. Prior to her role with Alberta Education, Daylene was a school administrator with Edmonton Public Schools where she worked with teachers toward two goals in online and blended learning: to develop and implement research-based and data-informed teaching practices; and to engage and support at-risk learners in grades K to 12 in classroom-based, online and blended learning environments. She has coordinated large-scale research projects with the University of Alberta in the field of educational technology and professional development. Daylene has previously served on the editorial board of the Journal for Research in Technology and Education (JRTE) and eLearn Magazine.
